As
Thanksgiving approaches, we are reminded once again of how thankful
we are for the support you continue to give CUPS. Through your generosity
and caring spirit, CUPS can and will continue to make a difference in
the lives of our neighbors in Mexico and in the Valley. This year,
school supplies were provided to thousands of children, computers
were placed in classrooms throughout rural north east Mexico, health
equipment and supplies were distributed to the most needy, Bibles
were given to those thirsty to read God's Word, and winter wear,
quilts and blankets were given to those without heat. These are just
a few of the ways CUPS was able to serve our friends this year and
none of it would be possible without you. So please know that your
continued support of this ministry is vital. For you we give thanks.

Workgroups
CUPS is
working hard to provide workgroups on this side of the border. Even
though the violence continues in northeast Mexico, a number of
workgroups still plan to travel to the border to work with our
neighbors in the Rio Grande Valley this coming year. Partnerships
with Project ARISE and the PET organization are now starting to bear
fruit as we learn more about the needs in the Valley through these
wonderful groups. If your church or service organization is looking
for a meaningful mission opportunity, we would be glad to talk with
you about customizing a workgroup for you.
Medical Equipment
CUPS needs
your help. Durable medical equipment is in great demand in Mexico
since many people cannot afford them. Wheel chairs, walkers,
crutches, canes, portable commodes and shower chairs are the most
frequently requested items and each item will make a significant
impact in the life of its recipient.
